Danielle Adest

Danielle is a finance and accounting senior executive with vast expertise in nonprofit management. With over 25 years of accounting experience in a wide range of industries, coupled with her individual passion for getting involved by helping those in need, Danielle brings a depth of experience that is not what people usually expect from an accountant.

Prior to joining Crisis Text Line, Danielle served as the Chief Financial Officer for Planned Parenthood of Greater New Jersey and was responsible for shepherding the organization back to profitability after a sustained financial shortfall. She also successfully secured over $6 million in grants and funding during the move to remote work in order to keep the clinics open and operating throughout the pandemic. Immediately before Planned Parenthood, Danielle served as the Vice President, Controller at the world-famous Sesame Workshop, where she was responsible for implementing new systems and controls for the entirety of Sesame Street International and for financial operations. And yes, her favorite character is The Count.

Danielle is a CPA and earned her B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University. She serves on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee for Good Grief Inc, a support and advocacy organization for grieving children. Danielle enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.
