We Now Offer Mental Health Support Through Web Chat!
“Our top priority is ensuring free, high-quality support is available to anyone who needs it, wherever they are,” said Dena Trujillo, CEO of Crisis Text Line.
We know that prioritizing your mental health is key to your overall well-being as it allows you to recognize and manage your emotions and thoughts, establish and maintain relationships and cope with challenging situations. Sometimes this can be difficult and overwhelming. You are not alone. We are here to support you 24/7 by offering you several ways to reach a LIVE volunteer Crisis Counselor.
We are truly excited to announce the full rollout of our web chat service – giving everyone more access to mental health support. Sometimes it might feel easier to discuss what’s on your mind through an online chat rather than via phone. This is why we are providing a new line of communication in addition to our existing text messaging and WhatsApp options.
Through our web chat service, we are helping even more people! During our soft launch (Dec. 1, 2022 through April 4, 2023), we engaged in more than 64,000 web chat conversations, averaging approximately 580 conversations per day. During this time frame, relationships, anxiety/stress and depression/sadness were the top issues people discussed with our volunteer crisis counselors–topics that are challenging to deal with alone.
If you are struggling, you don’t have to process your feelings alone. Reaching out is your first step in the healing process. To reach a trained, volunteer Crisis Counselor, you can text HELLO to 741741 or 443-SUPPORT in WhatsApp or text HOLA to 741741 or 442-AYUDAME in WhatsApp for Spanish or connect with us via web chat.
We are always here to support you 24/7.
